How do you fashion a Jamaican character, teaching him to dance properly and just be cool? You spend a lot of time drinking Jamaican rum and dancing terribly in front of a mirror while the rest of the studio laughs aloud at you.

While the process was a little bit more sophisticated than the ‘dancing in front of a mirror’, the essence of the character design and actions came from the motivations an easy going but energetic Jamaican gym instructor would have. With this Gymmy, (pronounced Jimmy with a Jamaican accent) was born and has become the hero character of the Club Lime brand and television commercials.
